What is Neural Manipulation?

A nerve only functions correctly when it is able to move freely within its surrounding structures. This makes a lot of sense when the end result for compromised nerve function usually results in restriction of movement, e.g. stiff neck, sore shoulder, hip, knee, lower back, and these restrictions manifest with pain.
Training of Barral practitioners is done through the Barral Institute as a postgraduate modality. Practitioners come from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as osteopaths, chiropractors, massage therapists, medical doctors.
Trained practitioners will use gentle techniques that include gentle compression, mobilisation, and elongation of the tissues.
